Major General Asif Ghafoor  belongs to Lahore. He was born in 1971. On September 9, 1988, he was commissioned in the Army's 87th Medium Regiment Artillery.  Your military education record is admirable. You have received professional training especially from the following institutions.

 1.  Graduation from Command and Staff College, Quetta

 2.  Command and Staff College - Bandung - Indonesia

 3.  National Defense - Islamabad

Major General Asif Ghafoor has a long list of services in the military, especially on the Line of Control (LOC) for a long time.  He was also the Operations Director of the Directorate of Military Operations.

 He was posted in Waziristan in 2008. Major General Asif Ghafoor Sahib loves the people of Waziristan very much.  Your role in restoring peace and daily life in FATA is commendable.  Asif Ghafoor organized sports competitions in FATA and foreign athletes were also invited to these competitions.  This greatly boosted tourism in these beautiful areas of Pakistan.
